A Little Facebook FYI

Just a few facebook hints for the clueless.

You do not always have to be friends with someone on Facebook to see their status or photos. If someone you are friends with is tagged in the status, photo or a comment or if someone you are friends with, comments on a photo or status, it can show up in the feed and be seen by others who are merely friends with the person who commented or was tagged.

For example the other day, a friend of mine, "Friend A" updated her status and I commented. Another friend of mine, "Friend B" also commented on the status of "Friend A" even though "Friend A" and "Friend B" are not facebook friends.

The lesson to be learned here is.......deleting someone, especially the wrong someone, does not mean that your page becomes a big secret. EPIC FAIL.

To be a real success at what you attempted to do, you will need to delete and block mutual friends of those you wish to keep things from, especially their family members and close friends of those family members AND have the friends you wish to keep on facebook delete and block those family members and close friends of those family members also.

Pay attention and make yourself knowlegable. My husband was innocent. I have family and they have friends. Now go have fun, batten down your hatches and prevent further communication of your publicly shared opinions and announcements. Oh, and you're welcome for this freebie.
