A Small Regret

In high school, as electives, I took business classes. Business Law, Business Dynamics, Accounting I & II. I thought I would benefit from them but NOOOOO. What I should have done is taken every class Mrs. Tudor taught and learned to sew! There have been MANY times in my life, including now, that I regret not taking Home Economics!!!! If you go into the field of business, you can learn what you need to learn in college. However, some day you will likely have a family and if you have a little girl, SEWING can greatly benefit you.....Maci can't wear an accounting spreadsheet. She COULD wear a pair of ruffle pants or a dress that I made....if only I could SEW!

With continuous issues in getting Maci nursing care, inability to afford a full time sitter while I were to work, I became desperate in trying to think of some way to bring in money at home. I love Scentsy and considered being an independent consultant but I am so unsure of the amount of time I would be able to dedicate to pursuing business and hosting (or soliciting people to host) parties. I may still do it....just at a later time because I LOVE the product. I considered photography again but this area is saturated. I considered keeping a child in my home too. The downfall there is, with so many doctor's appointments how would another parent feel about me carting their kid on the interstate so frequently and with Maci's upcoming transplant and the unknowns there, I just couldn't commit to something like that either, right now. I thought long and hard about something that I could do, that no one I knew did also that would mean I was stepping on toes. SO.....with part of my tax return money I have bought an embroidery machine. I plan to take a class or two or three where I bought my machine because they offer them at no charge since I purchased my machine from them. I've been practicing and I am starting to get the hang of things. I just hope to be awesome at it, soon! I can't make money practicing. LOL
